How to identify this generation
- A muscle back with a Titleist script over FORGED and 690·MB low near the toe.
- Several Titleist Forged models share similar lofts; read the model number on the back of the head.
What to notice in the specifications
- Titleist publishes the same lofts, lies and lengths for Forged 695MB (2006 page), Forged 690.CB (2005 page) and Forged 670 (2005 page). The heads differ, so read the model markings rather than relying on these numbers.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
Read our loft guide for a worked example of comparing the numbers, and our used iron checklist before relying on a seller's description.
