A zero gap means equal entered lofts. A larger angle gap does not necessarily mean a larger carry-distance gap.

What a loft gap tells you
A gap is the difference in static loft, in degrees. It helps you spot equal or uneven loft spacing in the numbers you entered. It cannot tell you how far either club travels. Head design, shaft, delivery and strike all affect flight.
Preset values are the manufacturer's published factory specifications for one stated build. If a club has been bent or replaced, its current loft may differ.
