How to identify this generation
- A central PXG logo sits between two round weight screws, with TUNGSTEN at the upper toe; the pictured hosel reads 0311P GEN8.
What to notice in the specifications
- PXG labels the wedges “W”, “G”; they are shown as PW, GW here so they line up with other sets.
- The 0311 P GEN8 loft, lie and length table matches 0311 P GEN7; only the published offsets differ slightly. Read GEN7 or GEN8 on the hosel or back to tell them apart.
- PXG’s GEN8 page also lists 0311 XP GEN8 and 0311 T GEN8 specifications; those heads have no separate product photo on the page and are not included here.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
Read our loft guide for a worked example of comparing the numbers, and our used iron checklist before relying on a seller's description.
