How to identify this generation
- Look for the CB cavity marking and 718 hosel code, then compare the head with the 718 CB archive photo.
What to notice in the specifications
- The shared source table includes AP1, AP3, AP2, T-MB, CB and MB. Only the CB loft row is used here.
- The shared 718 lie row specifies 59.5° for the 2-iron. Preserve that figure rather than copying the 59° value from 716 CB.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
Read our loft guide for a worked example of comparing the numbers, and our used iron checklist before relying on a seller's description.
