How to identify this generation
- Match the CB cavity marking and the 716 hosel code; CB and MB are separate head families.
What to notice in the specifications
- The 716 CB source gives the 2-iron a 59° lie. The 718 comparison table prints 59.5° for its 2-iron.
- The 7-iron is 35° and the pitching wedge is 47°. Matching lofts in another head do not establish matching distance or fit.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
