How to identify this generation
- A 7-iron with a CB badge at the toe end of a shallow cavity, FORGED lettered above a Titleist script in the centre of the back and 710 stamped on the hosel.
- The CB name also appears on these Titleist irons; compare their markings before using this chart: CB (712); CB (716); CB (718).
What to notice in the specifications
- Titleist’s 710 table runs from the 2-iron (18°, 60°) to a 47° PW with D2 swing weights, offsets from .150 in to .075 in and bounce from 0° to 8°.
- The 712 CB page keeps every loft, length and lie except the 2-iron (59° in 712, 60° in 710).
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
Read our loft guide for a worked example of comparing the numbers, and our used iron checklist before relying on a seller's description.
