How to identify this generation
- A large round weight port sits beside the PXG logo, with TUNGSTEN at the upper toe and MILLED lettering low on the back.
What to notice in the specifications
- PXG labels the wedges “W”, “G”; they are shown as PW, GW here so they line up with other sets.
- PXG’s 0317 page publishes the same loft, lie and length table for 0317 T as its GEN8 page gives for 0311 T GEN8; they are different heads.
- The same page lists 0317 CB and 0317 ST with one shared table; those heads have no separate product photo on the page and are not included here.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
Read our loft guide for a worked example of comparing the numbers, and our used iron checklist before relying on a seller's description.
