How to identify this generation
- A milled chrome muscle back with a PXG logo toward the toe, one round weight port on a raised centre pad and MILLED lettering toward the heel; the hosel reads 0317 ST 3X FORGED.
- The 0317 name also appears on these PXG irons; compare their markings before using this chart: 0317 T, 0317 CB (2026 US page).
What to notice in the specifications
- PXG labels the wedges “W”, “G”; they are shown as PW, GW here so they line up with other sets.
- PXG’s 0317 page publishes exactly the same loft, lie, length, offset and bounce table for 0317 CB, a cavity back; the ST is the milled blade.
- The photo is PXG’s own 0317ST chrome head from its custom-build listing; the 0317 page itself shows only the 0317 T.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
Read our loft guide for a worked example of comparing the numbers, and our used iron checklist before relying on a seller's description.
