How to identify this generation
- Look for AP3 and 718 markings; AP1 and AP2 are separate head families.
- Use the official 718 AP3 page to compare the cavity before treating these as the correct angles.
What to notice in the specifications
- AP3's 7-iron is 31°, one degree weaker than AP1 718 and three stronger than AP2 718.
- Its P wedge is 43°, matching the AP1 718 P loft, but not its 7-iron loft.
- The manufacturer lists AP3 from 3 through W48.
What the chart cannot tell you
A loft figure alone does not predict carry distance or determine a suitable fit. Head design, shaft, strike, swing speed and delivery also matter. Check actual loft and lie with a qualified fitter when a used set's history is uncertain.
