Identifying the right model
- SMART SOLE is lettered across a wide sole flange with FULL-FACE on the toe and a single letter (C, G, S or L) on the toe instead of a loft number.
- Check the stamped loft with the grind and bounce markings. A shared loft does not establish the same sole configuration.
What to check before using the reference
- Each head is identified by a letter rather than a loft: C (42°), G (50°), S (58°) and L (64°). The C head has a 66° lie, flatter heads use 64°.
- Lengths are Cleveland’s standard steel builds. Custom length, lie and loft adjustments and graphite shafts change the build.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
