Identifying the right model
- The black sole carries a large grey PING wordmark, MAX lettering near the toe and a yellow G430 badge low on the heel side.
- Match the full model name and any suffix (MAX, LST, SFT, HL, Stretch) on the head as well as the printed loft.
What to check before using the reference
- The table gives the standard setting of each head. PING lists ±1.5° of loft adjustability, so the hosel setting on a used club can change its loft and lie from these values.
- PING’s separate G430 MAX HL page publishes the identical head table; it is a lighter stock build of this head (shaft and grip package), not a separate model.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
