Identifying the right model
- PING sits on a grey panel of the black sole, with a G425 badge near the heel and MAX lettering near the toe.
- Match the full model name and any suffix (MAX, LST, SFT, HL, Stretch) on the head as well as the printed loft.
What to check before using the reference
- PING’s live US site no longer lists this model; the figures come from an Internet Archive capture of PING’s US page dated 2021-01-16.
- The table gives the standard setting of each head. PING lists ±1.5° of loft adjustability, so the hosel setting on a used club can change its loft and lie from these values.
- PING’s G430 MAX 10K driver page publishes the same head table, but the heads are different models. Use the model name on the head, not these numbers, to tell them apart.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
