Identifying the right model

  • A large white PING wordmark crosses the dark grey sole between blue accent panels, with a small G badge at the toe end.
  • Match the full model name and any suffix (MAX, LST, SFT, HL, Stretch) on the head as well as the printed loft.

What to check before using the reference

  • PING’s live US site no longer lists this model; the figures come from an Internet Archive capture of PING’s US page dated 2026-03-10.
  • The table gives the standard setting of each head. PING lists ±1° of loft adjustability, so the hosel setting on a used club can change its loft and lie from these values.
  • PING’s G400 MAX driver page publishes the same head table, but the heads are different models. Use the model name on the head, not these numbers, to tell them apart.
  • This capture lists 9° and 10.5° heads only; other lofts are not established by this source.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
