Identifying the right model
- A hollow chrome wedge with HOT LAUNCH over a blue MAX D on the flat lower back at the toe, black sole rails across the upper back, a TE monogram at the top, an S on a black badge near the heel and TOUR EDGE on the hosel.
What to check before using the reference
- Three lofts (52°, 56°, 60°), all listed right- and left-handed; the table publishes no bounce figure.
- Tour Edge’s Hot Launch X525 wedge listing publishes the same three lofts, 64° lie, 35.5/35.25/35 in lengths and RH/LH availability; the only published difference is that the X525 table gives 6° bounce and the Max D table none. The heads are different models.
- Tour Edge’s Hot Launch Max D Women’s Wedge listings publish the same three lofts, 64° lie and RH/LH availability at 34.5, 34.25 and 34 in (1 in shorter) with the Aldila Ascent graphite shaft only; they are women’s stock builds of this head, not a separate model.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
