Identifying the right model

  • A 3-iron with a deeper rounded body, polished panels at the toe and heel ends of the top line, a Titleist script centred on the back and U·510 lettered on the hosel.

What to check before using the reference

  • Titleist’s U·Series table lists U·510 heads at 16°, 18°, 20° and 22° (1- to 4-iron per the page’s loft options) with offsets from 3.9 mm to 3.3 mm and RH/LH availability.
  • The U·500 on the same table is the smaller player’s head without a 1-iron.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
