Identifying the right model
- A 2-iron with a smooth back, a U·505 badge at the toe end above a thin chevron line and a Titleist script; FORGED and a double-arrow mark run down the hosel.
What to check before using the reference
- Titleist’s 2025 utility table lists U·505 at 16°, 18°, 20° and 22° (1- to 4-iron) beside the T250·U row, with shared lie and length rows.
- The 2021 and 2023 U·505 pages publish the same four lofts, lies and lengths; the 2025 head has the smooth T250-style back with the badge at the toe.
- Titleist publishes the same 2- to 4-iron lofts, lies and lengths for T250·U (2025), a different head.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
