Identifying the right model

  • A polished cavity bordered by a thin line with a U·505 badge low at the heel side under a Titleist script, and FORGED on the hosel.

What to check before using the reference

  • Titleist’s 2023 utility table lists U·505 at 16°, 18°, 20° and 22° (1- to 4-iron) beside the T200·U row; lies and lengths are shared by both rows.
  • The 2021 and 2025 U·505 pages publish the same four lofts, lies and lengths; the 2023 head has a bordered cavity where the 2021 head has a recessed badge toward the heel.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
