Identifying the right model
- A 3-iron utility with a Titleist script across a smooth back, a polished accent bar along the top edge toward the toe and U·500 lettered on the hosel.
What to check before using the reference
- Titleist’s U·Series table lists U·500 heads at 17°, 20° and 23° (2-, 3- and 4-iron per the page’s loft options) with 2.2 mm offset on each and RH/LH availability.
- The U·510 on the same table is the larger head with a 16° 1-iron and 0.5° flatter lies.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
