How to identify this generation
- A 3-iron muscle back with an MB badge at the toe end of the upper back, FORGED above a Titleist script and 710 stamped on the hosel.
- The MB name also appears on these Titleist irons; compare their markings before using this chart: MB (712); MB (716); MB (718).
What to notice in the specifications
- Titleist’s 710 MB table runs from the 3-iron to a 47° PW (8 clubs, no 2-iron) with D2 swing weights, offsets from .125 in to .075 in and bounce from 2° to 8°.
- Titleist publishes the same lofts, lies and lengths for MB (716), MB (718) and MB (712), different heads.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
Read our loft guide for a worked example of comparing the numbers, and our used iron checklist before relying on a seller's description.
