Identifying the right model

  • The sheet's Soto photo shows a black-copper blade from behind at address: a single white sightline in the rear cavity, a red TP badge low on the back flange, 303 stamped in copper on the heel end and a long curved neck rising from the heel.

What to check before using the reference

  • One of seven heads on TaylorMade's 2019 TP Black Copper Collection sheet; Juno, Mullen 2, Ardmore 1, Ardmore 2, Ardmore 3 L and Ardmore 3 have their own records. The table names this one SOTO LC (long curve neck); the photo caption reads SOTO.
  • The sheet lists adjustable sole weights for head-weight tuning and a 2018 copyright line; it is filed under 2019 in TaylorMade's archive.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
