Identifying the right model

  • TaylorMade's 2011 sheet photo shows the white Ghost Spider from behind: a white wing frame with round silver weight ports at the wing ends, a grey grid-patterned centre panel with a red-and-silver Ghost Spider badge and TaylorMade lettered on its top edge, a TaylorMade bar across the toe-side wing and the shaft entering on the heel side.
  • The centre-shaft build has a straight shaft with no offset; the belly build is right-handed only at 41 and 43 in with a 380 g head.

What to check before using the reference

  • TaylorMade's 2011 Ghost Spider sheet lists the same three builds with the belly lengths marked custom; the photo comes from that sheet because the 2012 catalog page stores only a small image.
  • Two 4 g movable weights are stock; the 2012 catalog page offers 4–24 g of adjustable weight and ±2 in (±3 in belly) custom lengths.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
