Identifying the right model
- The sheet's hero shows the copper Spider X from behind: a copper wing frame around a black carbon-fibre centre panel with Spider X script, two round silver-ringed weight ports set into the front of the panel, black weight blocks at the rear end of each wing, a white TaylorMade bar along the toe-side wing and the black shaft entering on the heel side.
- Small Slant (#3) builds hang the toe 30° with a 3/4-shaft offset; Single Bend (#7) builds are face-balanced with a full-shaft offset. The Navy small-slant head with a single line is the only row without the white True Path panel.
What to check before using the reference
- TaylorMade's 2019 archive files a second Spider X sheet (SpiderX.pdf, 2018 copyright) with five rows covering the Copper/White, plain Copper, Navy/White and Navy builds; the Chalk/White rows appear only on this sheet.
- The sheet names a 320 g steel frame around a 15 g carbon-composite core, with 2 g aluminium, 6 g steel or 12 g tungsten weights for the two ports; the stock insert is the 5 mm Pure Roll.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
