Identifying the right model
- The sheet's 3/4 view shows the Tour Chrome Spider Tour Platinum from behind: a chrome wing frame with red weight-port wings at the rear corners, a black carbon-fibre centre panel with Spider script and a red TOUR bar, a TaylorMade bar on the toe-side wing and the shaft entering on the heel side.
What to check before using the reference
- TaylorMade's 2016-copyright sheet calls this the Itsy Bitsy Spider shape in a new Tour Chrome colourway; the 2016 Spider Limited record is the same head with the same published figures (2.5°, 70°, 360 g, face balanced, half-shaft offset, MOI 4900+) in the Tour Red and all-red bodies, right-handed only, while this sheet lists right- and left-handed builds at 34 and 35 in with a SuperStroke GT 2.0 grip.
- It is a different head from the square Spider Tour of the 2017 Red & Black sheet and from the 2018 Spider Tour Platinum double bend, which is a row on the Spider Tour 2018 record.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
