How to identify this generation
- A chrome cavity back with a dark carbon-textured badge in the middle carrying a gold-and-red PSi logo, a black TaylorMade bar along the upper back and dark textured panels on either side of the badge.
- The PSi name also appears on these TaylorMade irons; compare their markings before using this chart: PSi Tour (2016 archive edition).
What to notice in the specifications
- The sheet describes tungsten weighting in the long irons and forged short irons.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
Read our loft guide for a worked example of comparing the numbers, and our used iron checklist before relying on a seller's description.
