How to identify this generation
- A red-and-black cavity with AEROBURNER lettering in white and red low across it and TaylorMade lettering on the upper panel.
What to notice in the specifications
- Lengths are the men’s column; the sheet lists women’s lengths 1 in shorter for every club.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
Read our loft guide for a worked example of comparing the numbers, and our used iron checklist before relying on a seller's description.
