Identifying the right model
- A chrome back with TUNGSTEN lettering along the top line, a round weight screw at the upper toe, a PXG logo and a second screw low by the heel; the hosel reads 0311 X GEN8 5X FORGED/MILLED.
What to check before using the reference
- PXG publishes a single 2-iron head for the GEN8 driving iron, with a .135" offset and 2° bounce; the 0317X driving iron shares the same loft and length with a 60° lie.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
