Identifying the right model

  • A satin wedge head with BunkR lettered up the toe, a wide milled-pattern cavity badge reading PING BunkR across the back, and PING with a colour-code dot on the hosel.

What to check before using the reference

  • PING labels the single 64° head SW in its table; the page describes Eye2-style shaping with 14.5° of effective bounce and a wide sole for sand play.
  • PING lists the BunkR in Green, Blue, Black, Red and Orange colour codes; the 64.5° lie is the Black code. Graphite builds are listed 2 swing-weight points lighter than the D4 steel figure.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
