Identifying the right model
- A brushed-steel back with cobra lettering across the upper back, KING TEC UTILITY lettering low on the toe side, a single round weight port on the toe edge, the club number on the toe end of the top line and FORGED lettering on the hosel.
What to check before using the reference
- Cobra’s asterisks mark custom-only builds: the 2U (right-hand only) in every build, its graphite S and R and steel R shafts, the left-hand 3U and 4U, and the 5U in both hands and all flexes; the 5U row also says it is not available in Australia.
- Cobra’s product address names this the 2023 version (king-tec-utility-irons-2023); the page itself states no model year. The 2025 KING TEC iron set is a separate record.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
