How to identify this generation
- A chrome 7-iron back with cobra lettering across the upper back, a BAFFLER badge on a black bar above a dimpled silver insert low in the cavity, and two brushed-steel rail blocks visible along the top edge.
What to notice in the specifications
- Cobra labels the 6- and 7-irons hybrid-irons, the 8- and 9-irons hollow irons and the PW, GW and SW cavity-back; offsets run from 3.3 mm (6) to 1.5 mm (PW–SW).
- The BAFFLER Irons Set page publishes the same 6–SW figures with 4H and 5H Baffler hybrids and marks the GW and SW as sold separately (custom only); the stock set is 4H, 5H, 6–PW.
- Cobra’s Women’s BAFFLER single irons table (7–SW) keeps the same lofts and lies with shorter lengths (36.25 in 7-iron, 35.00 in PW) and the Ultralite L-flex shaft at C2 swing weight.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
Read our loft guide for a worked example of comparing the numbers, and our used iron checklist before relying on a seller's description.
