Identifying the right model

  • Adams’ photo shows the 19° head from the sole: a black sole with IDEA BLACK lettering, SUPER HYBRID below it, a gold-coloured weight port at the heel and at the toe and the loft stamped near the face.

What to check before using the reference

  • Adams calls the head the Idea Black Super Hybrid and lists it by loft (15°, 17°, 19°, 21°) rather than by number; the 21° head is right-hand only.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
