Identifying the right model

  • Adams’ photo shows the a7 hybrid from the sole: a silver sole with ADAMS GOLF lettering and 3 Iron toward the toe, the 19° loft near the heel, a black IDEA a7 badge in the centre and gold weight accents at both ends.

What to check before using the reference

  • Adams numbers the a7 hybrids 2 to 5 and stamps the number as an iron number on the sole (the photo reads 3 Iron); all four heads are listed in both hands.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
