Identifying the right model

  • From above, a black mallet with a rounded rear, a triangular cut-out ahead of the shaft and a smaller one behind it, two white sight lines across the head, a short white line on the heel flange and the shaft entering the centre of the head.

What to check before using the reference

  • Tour Edge lists the ZT-1 with a hole hosel in 34, 35 and 38 in stock lengths, all at 365 g, right-hand only.
  • The Zero T ZT-3 publishes the same 3° loft, 70° lie, 34/35/38 in stock lengths, hole hosel, 365 g head weight and right-hand-only availability; the heads differ in shape only.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
