Identifying the right model

  • From above, the same navy winged mallet as the 801 with a full-width white stripe and black centre line and triangular cut-outs, but with a double-bend shaft curving away from the heel instead of a slant neck.

What to check before using the reference

  • Tour Edge lists the 802 with a double bend, face balanced hosel, right-hand only, at 365 g in both stock lengths.
  • The Wingman 804 publishes the same 3° loft, 71° lie, 34 and 35 in stock lengths, face-balanced double-bend hosel and 365 g head weight, right-hand only; the heads differ in shape only.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
