Identifying the right model
- A 56.10 S Grind in Tour Chrome: SM5 beside a sun logo at the toe, BV wings under a Titleist script, S GRIND stamped low and VOKEY DESIGN on the hosel.
What to check before using the reference
- Titleist’s SM5 table lists 21 rows from 46.08 to 62.08 with a 64° lie, F, S, M, L, K and T grinds and D3/D5 swing weights; Tour Chrome, Gold Nickel and Raw Black are RH/LH on every row.
- The 54.10 and 56.10 codes each appear twice, once as an S grind and once as an M grind, so the grind letter is needed to match a head.
- The table has no bounce column; bounce is read from Titleist’s loft.bounce model code (54.10 = 10° bounce).
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
