Identifying the right model

  • LIGHTNING MAX LITE lettering runs along the toe edge of a black carbon-look sole that has no round weight port, only a slotted weight by the hosel; the hosel reads 10.5.

What to check before using the reference

  • PXG gives the Max Lite a 189 g head against 203 g for the other Lightning drivers, in 10.5° and 11.5° for both hands.
  • The Max Lite shares the Lightning drivers page with the Lightning Max 10K+, Lightning Tour Mid and Lightning Tour heads.
  • PXG publishes the same loft, lie, length and head-weight rows for the Black Ops 0311 Ultra-Lite driver, a different head.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
