How to identify this generation
- A chrome cavity back with silver angled bars across the cavity, a black badge lettered XXIO+ toward the heel and a small chevron mark near the toe.
What to notice in the specifications
- XXIO lists one length per club for its graphite (GR) and steel (ST) builds with swing weights D0 (graphite) and D2 (steel), rising to D1/D3 for the AW and SW; every row is right-hand only. The US copy of the page names only the Fujikura graphite shaft; the steel shaft (Nippon 950 GH neo DST cut weight) is named only in the European copy of the shaft heading.
- XXIO’s footnotes say stiff flex is available through custom and that the stock iron grip is a Golf Pride Tour Velvet 58R.
- The XXIO 14 and XXIO 14 Ladies irons are separate products with their own references.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
Read our loft guide for a worked example of comparing the numbers, and our used iron checklist before relying on a seller's description.
