How to identify this generation
- A chrome cavity-back with VIBRCOR on a black top bar, Tour Edge over an orange underline with E525 beneath it at the toe, HOT LAUNCH toward the heel and a grey carbon-pattern triangle insert low in the cavity.
- The Hot Launch name also appears on these Tour Edge irons; compare their markings before using this chart: Hot Launch X525 Ironwoods (2026 US page).
What to notice in the specifications
- Tour Edge publishes the same 4-iron to AW lofts, lies and lengths for the Exotics E723, Exotics E725 and Exotics Max irons; the E525 table stops at the AW while those sets continue to a GW and SW.
- The listing’s table also gives offsets from 6 mm (4-iron) to 3.5 mm (AW).
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
Read our loft guide for a worked example of comparing the numbers, and our used iron checklist before relying on a seller's description.
