Identifying the right model

  • The sheet's back view shows a chrome tear-drop head with the exchangeable face plate outlined in the back, two face screws showing through the cavity under a TP shield badge, a loft and bounce code stamped on the upper toe, TaylorMade script up the hosel and the loft (56) stamped on the top line beside the hosel.
  • Bounce is printed in the model code (54.12 = 54° with 12° bounce); the 58.12 and 60.10 heads are C-grind soles and the 50.06, 56.16, 58.12, 60.10 and 64.06 heads are right-handed only.

What to check before using the reference

  • The xFT face is a replaceable CNC-milled plate; TaylorMade's sheet offers Z Groove and ZTP Groove faces, so a used head may carry either face.
  • TaylorMade's 2011 wedge catalog page repeats these ten rows for the TP wedge with xFT; the stock shaft is KBS Hi-Rev (KBS Tour wedge on the specification table).
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
