Identifying the right model
- The sheet's back view shows an aged-copper head with a tall toe: a raised HI-TOE badge with the bigfoot logo on the toe side, a dark TaylorMade cavity plate with WIDE 15° lettered in red on its upper flange, a red oval weight pad on the heel side beside the hosel and CARBON STEEL printed down the hosel.
- Only 58° and 60° heads are published, both right-handed, both with a 15° bounce and a 32 mm wide sole; the swing weight is given as D5 with steel and D3 with the graphite UST Recoil option.
What to check before using the reference
- The aged copper finish is designed to oxidise and darken in use, so the colour of a used head varies.
- Full-face scoring lines run across the entire face; the sheet names the sole an asymmetric C-grind with trailing-edge and heel relief.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
