Identifying the right model

  • The sheet's small back view shows a satin head with two milled feel pockets either side of a small TP shield badge, TaylorMade script along the lower back and the loft (56) stamped at the top of the toe.
  • The TP version carries Y-Cutter grooves and the TP shield between its feel pockets; the plain rac Satin wedge of 2004 shows the rac arc logo and SATIN lettering there instead.

What to check before using the reference

  • TaylorMade publishes the same five rows (52.08 D3, 54.10 D4, 56.12 D4, 58.08 D5, 60.06 D5, same lengths, offsets and hands) for the rac Black TP (2005) and the Z TP (2008), different heads.
  • Five heads are published (52.08, 54.10, 56.12, 58.08, 60.06); left-handed builds are listed for the 52°, 56° and 60° heads.
  • Swing weights run D3 to D5 with the stock True Temper Dynamic Gold wedge-flex shaft and TaylorMade TGT wedge grip.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
