Identifying the right model

  • A black sole with a chevron-shaped panel, a silver PXG logo near the face edge, three round weight ports and a slotted weight by the hosel; the hosel reads 3 15.

What to check before using the reference

  • PXG’s table prints head volumes as plain numbers (200 to 160); they are read as cubic centimetres like the rest of PXG’s tables.
  • The same page lists the Lightning Tour fairway (3 and 5 only, 58° and 58.5° lies) in its own table; it is a separate record.
  • PXG describes an adjustable hosel for loft and lie but publishes no range on this page.
  • PXG publishes the same loft, lie, length and head-weight rows for the 3 to 9 heads of the Black Ops 0311 fairway, a different head; only the head volumes and the Lightning’s 11 wood differ.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
