Identifying the right model

  • A black sole with a white chevron stripe, a PXG logo near the face edge, 0311 lettering, three round weight ports and a slotted weight by the hosel; the hosel reads 3 15.

What to check before using the reference

  • PXG’s table prints head volumes as plain numbers (195 to 155); they are read as cubic centimetres like the rest of PXG’s tables.
  • PXG publishes the same loft, lie, length and head-weight rows for the 3 to 9 heads of the Lightning fairway, a different head; only the published head volumes differ.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
