Identifying the right model

  • The timeline photo shows a chrome muscle back with the outlined M logo centred on the blade, TP-9 stamped on the hosel and the club number up at the toe.

What to check before using the reference

  • The US-site timeline labels this head 1990-1997.
  • The linked chart lists a 37° 7-iron and 50° pitching wedge.
  • The source range is 1 through SW; it describes listed specifications, not the contents of every retail or used set.
  • Mizuno’s TP-2000 chart repeats every TP-9 loft and lie except the sand wedge lie (64° on the TP-2000, 63° here); the heads are different models.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
