Identifying the right model

  • Mizuno’s Z3 model image shows the parts of the head apart: a rounded mallet back section with two raised ribs and a white sight line, the forged face block with its hollow sole cavity, two round sole weights and the zero-torque neck shaft.

What to check before using the reference

  • Mizuno’s page lists Zero Torque, Plumber, Slant and Bend necks for the family; its table identifies each model by a letter and an offset description only (B: Full Shaft +, S: 3/4 Shaft, P: Full Shaft, Z: Onset).
  • Mizuno names the 3 head as one of two shapes added to the M.Craft X family for 2027 together with the zero-torque Z neck; the table also lists it with the B, S and P necks.
  • Mizuno lists the S3 in right- and left-hand; the B3, P3 and Z3 are right-hand only.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
