Identifying the right model

  • A grey cavity back with AXIS and a small P.C.S. mark at its centre, PARALLEL CAVITY SYSTEM lettered along the top edge, a Mizuno wordmark low near the heel and the club marking low at the toe.

What to check before using the reference

  • The US-site timeline labels this head 1994-1996.
  • The linked chart lists a 34° 7-iron and 47° pitching wedge.
  • The source range is 2 through SW; it describes listed specifications, not the contents of every retail or used set.
  • Mizuno’s Astron G2 chart lists exactly the same lofts and lies from 2-iron to SW for a different head.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
