Identifying the right model

  • A wide mallet with two rear flanges, HB SOFT 2 lettered on the sole with 11 on the rear flange, MODEL 11 OPTIMIZED MILLING along the face edge and a slant-neck hosel at the heel.

What to check before using the reference

  • 11S is the slant-neck, slight-arc version of the Model 11 with a 1-line alignment and pistol grip; the standard Model 11 and the 11C have their own records.
  • Cleveland’s footnote says putter shafts 35 in and over include a 20 g counterbalance weight.
  • Cleveland also sells an HB SOFT 2 Black Model 11S (black finish) on its own page without a specification table.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
