Identifying the right model
- Seen from the heel side with the shaft in the foreground: a blue X badge with X-20 lettering in a dark cavity insert, and the club number stamped low on the chrome back flange toward the toe.
What to check before using the reference
- Callaway Golf Pre-Owned lists two rows for every club, the second 0.25 in longer with a lighter swing weight (D0 against D2), without naming the shaft build; both lengths are kept in the configurations and neither is assigned to steel or graphite.
- Callaway also lists a women’s build (36 in 7-iron) with the same lofts and lies.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
