Identifying the right model
- Small photo of a compact silver head: TaylorMade script and a red TP mark on the sole, a round weight badge at the toe end and a 3 by the hosel, on a black shaft.
What to check before using the reference
- The 2007 sheet lists a 15° 1-Rescue, 17° 2, 19° 3 and 21° 4 (99 to 104 cc) with graphite lengths of 41 to 40 in and steel 1 in shorter, all at D3; left-handed heads are the 17° and 19° only. The 2009 Rescue TP sheet in the catalog is a different head with 17°, 19° and 22° lofts.
- Stock shafts are the RE*AX 85 TP H by Fujikura (X, S, R; 82–85 g) and True Temper Dynamic Gold (X100, S400, R300) with a TV 58R grip; TaylorMade describes a smaller, tour-preferred head with a forward CG and steel Pull-Face construction.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
