Identifying the right model
- Sole view with RESCUE MID lettering along the sole, a TaylorMade T badge on the black crown-edge band, 19° on that band by the hosel and a 3 at the toe end, on a black shaft with a silver ferrule.
What to check before using the reference
- The 2004 sheet prints graphite and steel lengths (graphite 40.5 to 39 in, steel half an inch shorter) and no head volume, and marks all four heads left-handed; TaylorMade’s 2005 “Rescues” sheet repeats the same Rescue Mid table with the Ultralite graphite (S, R, M) and Lite Metal steel (S, R) shafts at D3.
- A separate 2004 “Women’s Rescue Mid” sheet lists the 19°, 22° and 25° heads right-handed only at 39, 38.5 and 38 in.
- TaylorMade describes a wide, low-profile head with moderate offset, a 455 steel Pull Face and a cambered double sole.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
