Identifying the right model

  • Sole photo on red: a silver sole with a TP shield crest on the rear, 19° beside it, RESCUE DUAL lettering over TaylorMade script, a screw-in weight at the rear toe, a red-ringed port at the lower toe and a 3 by the hosel.

What to check before using the reference

  • The sheet lists two 2-Rescues (14° right-handed only, 16° also left-handed), a 19° 3 and a 22° 4, with lies of 58° to 59° that run 1° to 1.5° flatter than the standard Rescue Dual; the graphite build is 41.25 to 40.25 in and the steel build 0.75 in shorter, both at D2.5.
  • Stock shafts are the Mitsubishi Diamana H graphite (X, S, R; 81–85 g) and True Temper Dynamic Gold (X100, S300, R300) with a Tour Velvet 60R grip, and the sheet says no other custom shafts were offered. The 2005 “Rescues” sheet repeats this table.
Checking a club you own? These are the maker's published figures for an original build, not measurements of your club, and a source date is not the year it was made. Bending, reshafting or a hosel adjustment changes loft, lie and length, so identify the head by its own markings and have a fitter measure it when its history is unclear.
